UNeMed to feature Catalyst tours, panel on startup funding

On Thursday, June 27, UNeMed will host a dynamic two-part event featuring its “Idea Pub: Morning Edition” speaker series and a startup funding panel, followed by exclusive hard-hat tours of the nearly complete Catalyst facility. Located on the western edge of the UNMC campus, Catalyst is a $65 million mixed-use building designed to foster collaboration between UNMC researchers and the local entrepreneurial community. The morning kicks off with a presentation by Jay Lund of GreenSlate Management, highlighting the vision behind Catalyst. A panel discussion titled “Navigating Your First Investment Round” will follow, offering startup founders insights from investors and entrepreneurs who have successfully raised capital. The event is free and open to the public, with complimentary refreshments and limited lunch availability. Tours of the Catalyst construction site will offer attendees a sneak peek at the future hub for innovation and commercialization at UNMC.
