Construction is ramping up in the EDGE District with The Opus Group set to begin post-tension concrete work on a new seven-story parking garage at 4605 Farnam Street. Developed by Koelbel & Company and GreenSlate Development, and owned by the City of Omaha, the garage will add 753 much-needed parking stalls—including four EV charging stations—to support the growing activity around UNMC’s Catalyst Building and future CORE facility. The structure’s stairwells and elevator cores are already complete, with full project completion expected by October 2025. Opus, serving as the design-builder, architect, and structural engineer of record, was selected for the project based on their successful collaboration with GreenSlate on the nearby Storz Warehouse. As the EDGE District continues to grow, the garage will provide essential infrastructure to accommodate employees, visitors, and future development along Saddle Creek Road.
